Appleton Methodist Episcopal Church is organized.

(March) The congregation moves to the former Second Methodist Church at 51 Walnut Street in 1861, and combines with Trinity Congregational Church (organized May 11, 1859) to form the Community Church of Neponset at 51 Walnut Street on November 1, 1927.
